Auf der iNOW 2008 in Japan waren die Doktoranden des Sfb 787 mit ihren Postern [2] sehr erfolgreich.
Tim Germann (TP A2) belegte mit seinem Poster "Quantum-Dot Semiconductor Disk-Lasers" den 2. Platz (50.000 YEN).
Zwei Dritte Plätze (20.000 YEN) gingen an Barbara Bastek (TP C4) "Microscopic Recombination Kinetics in High Quality, Fully Coalesced a-plane GaN ELO Structures Investigated by ps-time-resolved Cathodoluminescence Microscopy" und an Matthias Leifgen (TP C2) "Quantum Key Distribution with Single Photons".
Eine lobende Erwähnung (10.000 YEN) erhielt das Poster "Nonlinear Dynamics of Quantum Dot Lasers and Amplifiers" von Niels Majer (TP B2).
